It depends on whether the problem is only a bug in the AtariMax routines. If regular (game) cartridges start up with E: initialized, the routine shouldn't be needed. But if not, I think it makes sense to have such a routine. Can you put a cartridge image on the AtariMax, and simulate a real cartridge startup?
