there really is. i won't go into much detail, but can you imagine getting an 
sdk shipped by one of the "big" console manufacturers, and after spending 
several days (and nights, sigh) on tracking down why some known-working code 
doesnt really work at all - you find out they managed to setup gcc/newlib so 
not only .bss would not get cleared, but also .data would be located in rom 
(and NOT copied to ram!) ? *yawn* i'd rather do this type of "optimization" 
specifically and my own, thank you ;) and i really agree that the doc shouldnt 
really cover (or even mention) it. if you are into this kind of thing, you 
know what you are doing :)

Habe ich schon erwähnt, daß mir HDTV/Blueray/HD-DVD völlig am Allerwertesten 
vorbeigehen? Das derzeitige Programm noch hochauflösender zu sehen, empfinde 
ich als Drohung.
