[cc65] Linking question

Hello,

I know I could write some tests to find the answer but it would still  
take at least several times more time than a simple two sentence reply  
from someone who knows that already well ;-)

The question: when linking object modules (.o files or .o modules from  
archived within a .lib file), does the linker always link the whole  
module in or only the actually referenced parts/subroutines?
