I used Access Basic (2.0) and Word Basic (6.0), that is, both variants before the term "VBA" was introduced, and I know how much they differ. Anyway, as far as I found out that days, although the variants differ, anything possible with one variant seems possible with another one. Thus, I expected the Scripting Host to be able to do what the other VB variants do, too. Anyway, I just had a (quick) look at the Windows help for WSH, but I could not find anything similar. :-( > > BTW: Announce now opens with write.exe, as expected. > > Look twice:-) I haven't changed the menu entry, but just converted the > file to DOS line ending conventions. I only found out that it works and thought you used WordPad for this. Regards, Spiro. -- Spiro R.
