I use the implicit rules to build cc65's libraries and programs.  Some make
variables must be changed by the makefile, of course, but most of the
built-in rules work well (the library-member rule is the one that fails
[because ar65 uses a different file-format]).

So, I'm curious:  What do you think must be changed about GNU make, in
order to "let the implicit rules use cc65 tools?"
