I think this is plain old M$ fud.

Which platform does it support that make doesn't?
"practically all operating systems" are MS Windoof and Mono 1.0 (according
to the NAnt home page).

I don't know on which platforms Mono runs, but I bet these are less than
the platforms with a working GNU make or Watcom make.
