I looked at these back in the '80's. I was using a Rockwell 6501Q for a controller board I made for some special machines for inhouse use. The Mitsubishi controllers had some added features. I designed a new controller with the 16 bit 37700, but I didn't get to implement it. The boss decided to use PLC's instead. I've still got all the DATA Sheets & manuals. I think I have about 5 pcs. of the microcontrollers. They went in a different direction than Western Design with the expansion of the 6502 to 16 bits. You have the option of a 8 or 16 bit DATA Bus. I'm really sorry I didn't get to play with that one :-) Ted Ullrich von Bassewitz wrote: >Does anyone have experience with the Renesas 740 family of CPUs?
