afaik there are also commercial games which statically link to SDL
(not the linux ones but their embedded versions, say PDA or mobile
phone)

and just as a sidenote.... there is also more than one "GNUPro" devkit
(for commercial use) that produces binaries which are statically
linked to newlib.
