There's a minor assembler bug in all versions up to 2.1.1. Since the feature
is not yet supported by the linker, probably no one has used it anyway, and
this post is more for the sake of completeness:

The .author, .comment, .compiler and .option pseudo instructions do not work
in all cases. It happens quite often that some of the options are "forgotten"
and do not appear in the object file.

This will get fixed in the next version.
