Hi Uz,

I want to thank you for creating such a magnificent set of tools and maintaining it for years in an outstanding manner. My 6502 and C programming skills (the latter being almost non-existent before discovering cc65) have improved a lot just by *looking* at the cc65 and platform library sources. We can only hope for a replacement who's half as skilled, dedicated and kind as you've been.

Just a quick question: As far as I can understand the original cc65 John R. Dunning license (which may be still relevant for two files as you mentioned) keeps the compiler (and just the compiler, not the other tools) from being placed under zlib license as a whole. Is he still reachable? Maybe he'd reconsider after all this years. If not, which files are those and how much effort do you think would be needed to rewrite those parts for a clean room implementation?
