Uz, why don't you allow the user to specify "the last accessed drive" (by not sending a "0:" or "1:" in front of the command)? And: Does the library also work with something like "N0:abc,12" or "N:abc,12" or "S0:ABC*" or "S:ABC*" or "C0:abc=def" or "C:abc=def", or will it prepend a "0:" in all these cases?
