But if cc65 want to be at least a bit standard compliant towards eg POSIX then it's a question to do it at the "POSIX way" or having extra things. I think C on CBM machines (and especially POSIX like calls) can be problematic, and they should be solved another way, but still then it's quite confusing to have POSIX-like stuffs for several other things.
