Ok, I've added 

_DE_ISREG(t), _DE_ISDIR(t), _DE_ISLBL(t) and _DE_ISLNK(t)

for the CBMs. They're documented in funcref.sgml. Implementations for other
platforms are currently missing, so anybody maintaining a platform that has
dirent.d_type, please go ahead :-)
