The reason why I have not reacted before is that I also assume that 
there is just some coding error. But now there are two developers with 
two different projects having the same symptom.

And no, your opinion does not sound stupid.

When I have time I will compile Solitaire and some other known good 
sources to see if I get problems with the latest compiler optimizations.
