I totally agree! When I still was a student, I worked through all of
Volume 1, and much of Volume 2. I stopped when I did not have much time
left anymore. I also looked into Volume 3, but there, I only searched
for things I really needed.

However, I think this is the most important single book - ahem: book
series ;) - from which I learned much for computer science. Sometimes,
MIX is in the way, but I never thought it to be so bad that it becomes
unreadable.

Well.. yes, unfortunately. When I was working at the University, I
found out that many of the young students did not even know who Don was!
This is really a pity...
