dont take it personal really, but this looks like a quite complex solution 
which doesnt make anything a lot more simple at all. and the potential that  
someone will use it wrong is high (it works, as you said, i noticed that now. 
i used it wrong. if i'd be a beginner, i wouldnt know wth is the problem and 
give up eventually)

however, if assembling simple programs which are contained in one big file is 
really what you are after, then i recommend looking at this:

thats pretty much exactly that, and its no different to how its done in other 
assemblers like acme or dasm (unless you use their c64 specific features, 
which some of them have)
