That depends a bit. There's one module left (expr.c) that contains old code. I cannot say how much, because I haven't checked for some time. But even rewriting the remaining code in this module won't make cc65 a 65816 compiler. I'm here and then putting thoughts and some code into a new version that may support other CPUs at some time. But what I have is not even compilable, so don't count on it.
