Hi, When it comes to a text color scheme for machines with colored text then I see two approaches: 1. Stick to the colors used by the startup screen / BASIC interpreter. These are typically low contrast schemes most likely optimized for display on stock TV sets of the 80ies. 2. Use some usual high contrast scheme like black background with lightgray or white text (and lightblue / yellow for emphasising text where available). As I'm coming from the Apple II (with b&w text) I now have this question: Is 1) vs. 2) simply a matter of taste or do the users of those machines (today) have a clear expectation (on new software) and I'm just outing myself as nonmember doing it "wrong"? There seem to be examples for both: LUnix looks like 1) while Novaterm looks like 2) ... Thanks for hints, Oliver P.S.: I'm about to change the C64 (and Atari) version of Contiki from 1) to 2). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list send mail to majordomo@musoftware.de with the string "unsubscribe cc65" in the body(!) of the mail.Received on Sat Oct 2 09:54:06 2010
