Yes, that's correct. And it's even worse: cc65 doesn't support tentative definitions. I've always wondered when someone will notice:-) I will try to fix at least the part of the problem you've reported. Tentative definitions need support in the linker, and since no one has complained for about 10 years, chances are that I'll survive the next 10 years, too :-) Thanks for the report!
