No. I have to admit that I never thought about that.

That is probably right. I'm personally using RPMForge as an additional
repository on all RedHat boxes I own or which are controlled by me, and I'm
quite happy with it. But I don't know which policy they have. As you might
know, the compiler proper is not covered by the standard zlib library, so this
might cause a problem.
