Hello Oliver et al, I haven't done any testing myself with the posix functions and cc65, so I'll just make a general comment. First of all, your observations about the usage of O_WRONLY and O_CREAT seem to indicate a bug in cc65 library. However this may have gone unnoticed for a long time, because people may have used O_RDWR when opnening a file to write without truncating it.
