If you were able to download from Uz' ftp (for example, the source
distribution), then your "el cheapo" ISP already has everything set up
correctly.

While I understand your concern, I also understand Uz' one. It is a give
and take. Uz, for his side, has taken this step as it has proven to be
good in the past.
