Problem fixed: the latest snapshop for the nes library did it. I had to go all the way to 2005: "[cc65] Need help getting started with cc65 NES" thread specifically. Please update the nes.zip from the download section. I really think that naive people (like me) would download this version first... anyway thanks for all the help!
