[cc65] Linker configs for VIC20

I've started writing a little program for the VIC and have reached a point
where the linker complains that the RAM area has overflowed?

I have tried fiddling with a modified config file, but this will link, but
does strange things when loaded. Does anyone have any sample linker memory
config files for the VIC20 - I have a real machine with 3K Superexpander
(Like I had as my first computer in 1981) and want to target that...

Also - why does the default config start at $FFF when according to the
memory map it should by $1000
