[cc65] Best makefile utility ?

Hello, I would like to know what kind of makefile utility is best suitable for small 
projects with cc65 under linux ?

Of course, gnu make is here but it's really too complex for me (at least I would like to 
avoid spending hours to learn how to setup a small makefile)

Nothing easier ?

For now, I just compile everything everytime (12 files) and it's soo fast that I wonder if I 
really need to use a makefile... 

In fact, the makefile could be usefull (maybe) if I plan to have several version to 
compile depending on the target (apple 2, apple 2gs, xkegs, and so on)

Any advice appreciated
