I didn't realize this when answering your personal mail, but the rs232 API is
obsolete. It will get replaced by the serial API that uses loadable modules.
The API is very similar but not compatible. If I understood Adam correctly, he
is currently changing Contiki to use the new API. So it may be worth a thought
to support the new API instead of the old one.
