So file I/O support for ProDOS16 doesn't really seem to be an issue - does it? Probably I can try to give you some hints from my own experience: - Everything that has a "standard" name needs to have the "standard" functionality, not less but not more as well. - There really needs to be a very good reason for adding new "non-standard" functionality. For example the dio_get_file_info() you proposed in another mail could have a hard time making it into the cc65 C library - even if it already exists for the Atari.
