The old/ directory was accessible a long time, but I had to block it, because
in regular intervals some people go and download the complete cc65 directory.
This generates a lot of traffic. If the old directory would be accessible,
these people would cause 10-20 times the traffic for no good reason.
But since the patch mentioned is for version 2.8 of the compiler, and,
according to your statement, you're using 2.7.1, there's a good chance that it
won't apply without problems.
Is there anything that prevents you from using the current version of the
compiler? This would be my suggestion, because it will probably save you a lot
of other trouble. If you apply any patches, you will have to recompile the
sources anyway, so why not just download and compile the current version?
