Yeah, they are pervasive. I found a linux group here in Klamath Falls,
I'm not a M$ diehard.  They employ a lot of talented people and produce
some really good software but the downside of M$ is....well, we don't
need to turn this into a debate over Microsoft.

If I can get a job developing for the C64 that pays $80k/yr I'm all over
it :)

According to K&R (the *true* makers of the standard) stdlib.h has the 
prototype for the rand () function.
