Not really, I think. Adding a new target to the tool chain is not much work,
and my experience is that with an incomplete port there's a high chance that I
will have to remove the stuff later on. If adding the target would make things
easier for you, I can do that, but I for my part would prefer something more
complete (if possible).

This is only true for cl65. cc65 and ca65 have no default character mapping.
