My plan is to convert some existing drivers, for which it is clear that the
advantages are far greater than the disadvantages, and watch how the graphics
and extended memory drivers develop. It may be easier to decide about things
like the joystick library after having some experience in other areas.
Loadable modules are a brand-new feature, and they will develop.
