>hehe :o) pointers and typecasts are probably what everyone struggles >about when learning C, so never mind :) I wish I could say I was new to C... been using it for years... however, I never really had a good grasp on typecasting, especially the typecasting required when using cc65 and memory mapped i/o, etc... You just don't run into that type of thing to often when programming on the PC. The most typecasting I've had to do involved passing around void pointers and then typecasting (just like what you showed me) to specific structures depending on other values also passed in.
