I think what was meant here was that the original CC65
on the Atari 8bits ran on the 8-bit, i.e. it could compile
itself to produce a 8-bit hosted compiler suite. 
This isn't true of the newer CC65 because of all of the improvments.

BTW - The C64 web server is cool!
