you probably have to link against some more additional libraries....
theres some dialog in VC in which you can simply select everything to
avoid such kinda probs (dont ask me where that dialog was though, i
avoid using VC whenever possible ,=))

i'd like to know that aswell to be honest... although i am pretty
fluent with using cygwin/gcc i didnt really manage to setup a
mingw-compiler properly yet (well i didnt really bother trying that
much though, cygwin serves me fine ;)) ... i'd however give it a shot
if you know a decent source for a precompiled distribution that doesnt
miss the most important file ,=D (and yeah, i'd bother compiling one
of those snapshots aswell (and upload them somewhere) ... i'd like to
do that with some of my own stuff aswell actually so its easy to
distribut them withough that monster dll you mention ,=))
