I've once disassembled the C64 version of Elite (the 3D space combat and
trading game) and created several improved versions. They were named Elite
128, because one of the first improvements was switching the CPU into 2MHz
mode on the C128 while the VIC draws outside the visible area. This gives a
speed increase of ~30% on PAL machines.
The code I've posted comes from a version that has additional functions only
available for SCPU machines. It still has some major bugs and was never
released.
