Maybe that's the most important statement. TGI is neither designed nor useful for games. There's no point at all in trying to push it into that direction. As I already mentioned before TGI has no API for bit blitting nor direct screen access (in the way i.e. DirectX does). So it's clearly visible what it isn't supposed to be used for.
