[cc65] compiling for custom comps?

Hi all,

I just got cc65 recently, and I'm hoping someone might be able to give me a
pointer or two - I'm working on creating a custom 6502 based comp - I have
learned that there are people that do use the compiler for home brew comps,
but that some assembly is required, and I was wondering if anyone on this
list is doing that, and if they are - what kinds of functions / calls need
to be written in assembly to allow me to use the compiler for the bulk of my
coding for an interface?
